The Eastside Pioneers Neighborhood Association (ESPNA) did their part for a Little Bit Better. Helen Roland organized a group for East Park for a Litter Bit Better pick up on Saturday, April 28. See attached pictures. Top picture: Brenda, Shane, Greg, Debbie, Mike with Gavin and McKenna in the front row. Middle picture: McKenna showing off an invention created by Richard Brubaker something called a bag tamer. It helps keep a bag open while you are carrying it so you can easily put litter in the bag. Really a handy little invention!!!!. Bottom picture: Our Eastside Pioneers Neighborhood Association sign on our Adopt-a-Park sign. It is looking a bit faded. We will ask for new one.
On Sunday April 29 a couple of us, Paul Scanlon and myself, picked up litter in another ESPNA park, Mayo Memorial Park, east of the Zumbro River/Bear Creek. We also picked up on the rip-rap along the Zumbro River/Bear Creek as part of our Adopt-a-River program. We picked up 64 lbs of litter there.
