Visual Harvesting Workshop in Rochester: November 6, 9 am-4 pm (attachment)

Two workshop options: Part I in the morning, Part II in the afternoon. You can sign up for either or both!

Rochester Area Foundation, Community Room (12 Elton Hills Drive, Rochester, MN 55901)

Visual harvesting is a creative way to capture information, reflect ideas, spark creative thinking, and support sense-making. It may be used to support a variety of personal and professional practices, including journaling, notetaking, planning, coaching, facilitating, and engaging your community. This skill would be an excellent asset to put to use in your neighborhood association, a tool for communication improvement.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Harness the power of visuals to bring people together.
  • Engage others and highlight various perspectives in the room.
  • Build the skills necessary to capture conversations and notes in a visual manner.
  • This is a very practical workshop. You’ll have opportunities to apply what you are learning to projects and ideas of your own. You do not need to know how to draw! Materials will be provided.
