Hello RNeighbors friends!
Tomorrow is the BIG colorful day for our Creative Crosswalk project as a part of the big Place Makers Prototyping Festival.
We will be painting not one but four different crosswalks downtown, across 1st Avenue SW. We’ve worked with/are working with the Public Works Department and a videographer to create a process for neighborhoods to be able to paint their own Creative Crosswalks. More info on our website and attached poster ccpfflyer . http://www.rneighbors.org/?p=10042. Please forward to your contacts.
Several things we need volunteer help with:
- If you can spare even 15 minutes we’re in need of elbow grease to get the crosswalk murals painted tomorrow, Thursday, 9am-noon. Anytime you can stop by we’ll give you a paintbrush.
- Filling a shift during the 3 day long Prototyping Festival where you’d serve as an information person by the crosswalks (available shifts listed below). I’ll have large info displays onsite and walking postcards out that people can access. Encourage people to “post what you think on facebook, Instagram, Twitter #creativecrosswalks”.
- Simply attend the Prototyping Festival, Thursday 4 pm – 8 pm, Friday 11 am – 10 pm, Saturday 10 am – 1 pm. 3rd Street SW by 1st Ave SW, Downtown Rochester, MN.
