ESPNA Neighborhood Meeting Reminder Notice

The Eastside Pioneers Neighborhood Association (ESPNA) will be holding our monthly meeting this Thursday, March 10 at 7 PM at the St. Francis Parish Activity Center, 1114 3 Street SE.

On the agenda for the evening we have a representative from Family Services Rochester (FSR) who will give us a quick update on the ESPNA/FSR Neighbors Helping Neighbors collaborative effort.

Kimber Schletty, Director of Community Education for Mission 21 will also be in attendance to provide us with information on such questions as what is Mission 21 and what role does it play in dealing with sex trafficking, human trafficking, and prostitution? What does sex trafficking, human trafficking and prostitution look like on an international, national, state and local scale? What is our local law enforcement’s role in addressing the problem?  What happens in the criminal justice system, especially locally, to the people involved in sex trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution? What can we do as a neighborhood, a community, to help combat sex trafficking, human trafficking, and prostitution? All this might be especially pertinent in light of Rochester’s projected growth. It should be an interesting meeting. I would encourage your attendance.

Mission 21 is an anti-trafficking service provider committed to the complete restoration of child victims of sex trafficking. Since 2010, Mission 21 has been working tirelessly to provide services to children being bought and sold in the commercial sex trade in Rochester, MN and statewide.  The average age of entry into the commercial sex trade, more commonly known as prostitution, is 12-14 years old. Mission 21 is glad to announce that they can now help victims of domestic minor sex trafficking, up to age 21, with food, clothing and emergency medical services as well as on-going case management.

If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic minor sex trafficking or prostitution please call 507-208-4600.

Mission 21’s mission: To provide resource and restoration services to child victims of sex trafficking.  Their mission is to assist victims of sexual exploitation so that they will be restored mentally and spiritually and re-enter society as survivors.
